Ms. Tamika F. Lee "Ms. T"

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

In 2011, Tamika had a vision that she wanted to start a girls group mentoring program. She had no idea exactly how or when to start the program but she was determined that one day she would. In September of 2012 at 30 years old Tamika founded Be B.O.L.D. (Beautiful, Outstanding, Lavish, and Determined), without a business plan, a team, or any girls to start. Frightened by the thought of "what if" she was driven by the lack of respect and confidence girls had for themselves and others around them. Tamika was also driven by her nieces. Growing up with five nieces she always felt she was a positive role model for them, although they may not have said it (they do now :)). She was determined to show them how to live a confident and fun life.

Tamika is a natural at working with young girls and empowering them to be confident. She has over 10 years of experience working with youth. Tamika has been the guest speaker at several youth summits and conferences. She is well known for her transparent candid yet witty personality and finds encouragement in the youth which she engages. Tamika never thought she would be working with the youth of her community; however she will tell you proudly that it is the most rewarding career she could have ever "accidently" came upon. (Law School was her first choice)

Tamika received her Bachelor's degree in Business from Wilmington University and her Master's in Administration of Justice (Leadership/Counseling) also from Wilmington University. One thing for sure is Tamika is BOLD and she believes that B.O.L.D. living creates opportunities no one could have ever imaged!

Tamika was selected as the 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year by the HOPE Foundation and the Psi Iota chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
